I want to illustrate my portrayal of the human condition— illustrating the thoughts, questions, and events within my life (Past and Present). The reason why I chose to place so much emphasis on context so closely related to my past is because I have never really been the type of person to reveal or even talk about my personal life. I construct memories and dreams that have molded me. Therefore, the artwork itself is a self representation. I am looking for an understanding within my human condition by revealing and acknowledging things that have occurred to me in my past. It’s not that I want my life to be dictated by the events that occurred in my past but rather to find an understanding of what had occurred through my paintings— a visual diary.

Although the work is based off my childhood upbringing, I allow for individuals to reflect and find a relation between the images within the artwork. So that they may self explore and interpret their own human condition.
